Why people choose Logfolio

Where Goodreads is strong

  • A huge community: more than 150 million members, with reviews for almost any book.
  • Built into Amazon's world: Goodreads ratings on Kindle, and Audible audiobooks tracked on Goodreads.
  • Reading Challenge, Year in Books, book clubs and the Choice Awards.
  • Since 2026 it has a Did Not Finish shelf and half-star ratings.
  • It's completely free.

Where Logfolio differs

  • Books sit next to your films, TV, games and albums, on one page.
  • Your own types for anything else, like recipes, places or gear (Pro).
  • Your page opens for anyone, no account needed, with real covers on a bookcase-style shelf.
  • Featured picks at the top of each section, and tabs per section.
  • No social layer, so it's your log, not a feed.

Bringing your Goodreads history

  1. On the Goodreads website, open My Books, then Import and export, and click Export Library.
  2. In Logfolio, open Settings, then Import, and upload the CSV as it is.
  3. Ratings, read dates and reviews come over (reviews stay private). Shelves become tags. Run it again later and nothing is added twice.

Questions

Can I keep using Goodreads?

Yes. Logfolio isn't connected to Goodreads. Export again whenever you like and only new books come in.

Is the import free?

Free brings in up to 20 books. Pro brings your whole library.

Do my Goodreads reviews show on my page?

No. They come over, but reviews on Logfolio are only ever shown to you.

Does Logfolio have a reading challenge?

Not as a goal. Pro has stats for every year and a year in review you can share.
