Logfolio vs IMDb

IMDb is the database for films and TV, owned by Amazon, where many people rate what they watch and keep a watchlist. Logfolio turns those ratings into a log you can share, next to your books, games and albums, and imports them straight from IMDb.

Why people choose Logfolio

Where IMDb is strong

  • The biggest catalogue there is: about 26 million titles and 15 million people (September 2025).
  • Alerts when a title on your watchlist becomes available to watch.
  • Free apps on iOS and Android, with more than 100 million Android downloads.

Where Logfolio differs

  • A public page built for showing what you watched, not a database profile.
  • Films and TV next to your books, games and albums.
  • Half-star ratings, dates as exact as you remember, and a private review on each.
  • Your own types for anything else (Pro).

Bringing your IMDb history

  1. On a computer, open Your Ratings on IMDb (or your Watchlist, or a list) and click the Export icon.
  2. In Logfolio, open Settings, then Import, and upload each CSV.
  3. Films go to Films and shows to TV, with your rating. The date you rated becomes the date watched.
