How Raphael uses it

Raphael watches two films a week and one show at a time. His films were on Letterboxd, his shows were somewhere in Netflix, and his watchlist was a screenshot.

He brought his Letterboxd diary over first, rewatches included, with his half-star ratings. Then he uploaded his Netflix viewing history: every episode rolled up into one entry per show, dated by the last one he watched. The Netflix file has no ratings, so he rated the shows he cared about afterwards.

Now a show sits in Watching while he's working through it and moves to Watched when he's done. His page shows films and TV side by side, and friends filter by Watchlist to see what he still means to get to.

Questions

Does each episode become an entry?

No. A show is one entry. Netflix imports roll episodes up into one entry per show, IMDb imports leave episodes out, and you mark the show Watching or Watched.

Does Netflix bring ratings?

No. The Netflix file only has titles and dates, so there's nothing to rate from. Letterboxd and IMDb do bring your ratings.

Can I import the same file again later?

Yes. Anything already in your log is skipped, so there are no duplicates.
